The refractive
index of a solution that is measured with a refractometer is always temperature
and wavelength dependant.
Density is temperature dependant; as a result specific gravity is also temperature dependent. As specific gravity increases, viscosity and density increases. This situation causes increasing in refractive index. Temperature and refractive index are inversely proportional. But there is no fixed ratio. Because of this tables can be used to determine refractive index values at different temperature values.
